Surveyworld (www.surveyworld.me) is a portal focussing on “earning money with paid surveys”.

Surveyworld describes itself as an “independent comparison community” that provides information about suitable survey opportunities:

“Surveyworld is an independent comparison community of research companies. We are not part of the research companies. Surveyworld does not send any products for testing, no surveys for completion and does not administer the rewards. We will inform you about all interesting research companies that are currently looking for participants. If you are dissatisfied, please contact the research company you have signed up with directly.”

The surveys can come from companies, governments and public organisations, for example – according to Surveyworld, these pay to obtain the opinions of the respondents.

But is Surveyworld reputable? Have customers had positive experiences? What reviews and opinions are there about Surveyworld? Can you really earn money with it?

Why I would use alternatives to Surveyworld

What makes me sceptical about Surveyworld are mainly the following aspects:

(a) Information on the website has not been kept up to date for a while.
b) The company behind Surveyworld is a “lead agency” or “marketing agency”: This suggests the goal of collecting data from people and earning money with this data.
c) Surveyworld only refers people to other survey companies and does not offer surveys itself.
d) Rather unreliable data on how much money can really be earned with Surveyworld.

a) Outdated information on the website

Anyone who took a look behind the scenes at Surveyworld could see that some information was missing or not kept up to date. This did not exactly inspire confidence in me.

According to the Surveyworld website, the Dutch company “Leadgency Marketing BV.” is responsible for Surveyworld:

“Leadgency Marketing BV
Koperweg 11-J
2401 LH Alphen aan den Rijn”

While “Leadgency Marketing BV.” is stated as the responsible company at the bottom of the Surveyworld website, “e-Bron Marketing B.V.” is stated in Surveyworld’s privacy policy.

This inconsistency naturally begs the question: Why is the information not kept up to date? Is Surveyworld no longer active? Or not as active as it used to be?

For customers, this could mean that there are only a few current surveys available in order to earn any money at all!

Note: The information in this section is dated 12/10/2023 – Surveyworld has since made adjustments and only e-Bron Marketing B.V. is now listed as the company behind Surveyworld. However, anyone wishing to access the website https://www.e-bron.nl is automatically redirected to https://www.leadgency.com – and this is obviously a lead agency or marketing agency.

b) Surveyworld as lead agency

The name, the website and the purpose of the company behind Surveyworld suggest that it collects customer data (“leads”). Whether you want to become a client of such a marketing agency is of course up to you.

In my opinion, it is not necessary to leave your data with a lead agency – because you can simply register directly with good survey portals!

Personally, I would therefore prefer to register directly with survey portals and not register via Surveyworld – otherwise you run the risk of your own data being used for purposes that you don’t actually want to support.

c) Surveyworld only brokers survey companies

As Surveyworld itself is not a survey company or research company, you are simply referred to suitable survey companies. Although this is not critical in principle, you are handing over your data to an additional company.

d) Less reliable data: How much can you earn with Surveyworld?

While there are many public international experience reports and other sources on the earnings of many other paid survey companies, there is very little to be found on Surveyworld. Only in certain countries are there detailed reports on Surveyworld.

Personally, I would therefore prefer to register directly with an established platform for paid surveys – and not with a “marketing company” like Surveyworld.
